Staff/Senior Platform Engineer

About

The Cloud Platform Unit is responsible for managing our global SaaS headless e-commerce multi-tenant platform. The platform occasionally sees traffic peaks that require several hundred nodes, to serve customer traffic demand. The team’s charter is to ensure uninterrupted 24/7 availability of the platform, as well as proactively help advance it, by adding additional capabilities or improving existing ones.

Our team has a big impact on the entire organization with their contributions to automation and helping us run as efficiently as possible.

What you will do:

• Maintain and continuously improve our AWS infrastructure using IaC
• Automate deployment workflows using tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, while maintaining documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes
• Develop and implement monitoring solutions across integration, staging, and live environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond swiftly to system alerts and incidents
• Closely collaborate with internal application teams enabling them to use the platform

Who you are:

• At least 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• You have strong experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• You are confident working with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• You bring a solid background in CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI) and Terraform
• You are a strong collaborator, working closely with agile development teams and internal stakeholders

Working model:

Due to the upcoming tasks and responsibilities for this position, it is required to work onside from our office in Hamburg or Berlin. Therefore we’ve implemented a hybrid working model that allows us to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday.
