About
The ServiceNow Solutions Architect / Designer is responsible for designing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role provides technical leadership across the full lifecycle of ServiceNow implementations, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise architecture standards, and IT service management best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, HRSD, and CSM
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and platform designs
- Define architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for ServiceNow implementations
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment
- Oversee end-to-end solution delivery, including integrations, data models, and workflow design
- Design and review custom applications, configurations, and platform extensions
- Provide guidance on platform governance, security, and compliance requirements
- Lead design workshops, solution reviews, and architecture governance sessions
- Ensure optimal platform performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Support release planning, upgrades, and platform roadmap development
- Mentor developers and administrators, ensuring adherence to architectural standards
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years on the ServiceNow platform
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow architecture, data model design, and platform capabilities
- Hands-on experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, third-party systems)
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and ServiceNow best practices
- Experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide) and platform customization
- Ability to lead solution design and architecture discussions with senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM, ITOM, or other modules
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – highly desirable
- ITIL Foundation or higher
