Role and Responsibilities of Shift Operations Manager:
As an Shift Operations Manager, you will be responsible for management of the entire restaurant's operations, working directly with the General Manager as the store's second in command. You will provide direction, training, and expertise to ensure customer expectations are exceeded while overseeing operations and developing team members. Key responsibilities include:
- Offer training, guidance, and mentorship to empower staff in creating a high-performing team.
- Develop an inviting and pleasant environment that encourages camaraderie and positive interactions among team members and visitors.
- Ensure that food safety procedures are monitored and reinforced to meet regulatory standards.
- Achieve maximum sales potential and profit margins by effectively managing store operations.
- Adhere to the QSC (Quality, Service, Cleanliness) metrics to uphold the reputation of the restaurant for maintaining high standards.
- Uphold the safety and security of Wendy's brand and investments.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving success and providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Execute and uphold the standard procedures set by the company.
- Record and tally product and supply inventory through physical counting.
- Manage the allocation of work shifts for team members to maintain proper staffing levels.
- Guarantee that all restaurant staff strictly follow company policies regarding the proper handling and preparation of food.
- Effectively handle controllable expenses such as food, labor, and paper costs.
- Partner with restaurant management to accomplish financial goals.
- Exhibit adept problem-solving techniques and decision-making strategies that are centered around the customer experience.
- Move to diverse dining venues, regional business sites, banking institutions, and scheduled meetings as needed.
Required Skills and Experience of Shift Operations Manager:
- Individuals must have a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification and must carry all necessary documentation in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Experience as a Shift Supervisor for a minimum of two years or as an Assistant Manager for at least one year in the restaurant sector is a prerequisite, with preference given to those with backgrounds in high-volume QSR or fast-casual concepts.
- Openness to working different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- You must have a valid driver's license in good standing and access to private transportation.
- Evidenced capability in heading and administering a team within a quick-paced, fluid environment.
- Cost of goods sold comprehension is vital for strategic decision-making in business.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Result-driven mindset with a customer-centric philosophy.
- Ability to come to work promptly and as scheduled.
