Site Agent/Project Manager

Neoking Trading is looking for a self-driven Site Agent/Project Manager responsible for the overall construction of works. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all activities on site, overseeing operations of the whole site on a day-to-day basis, and that the project completes on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan the project and ensure that site teams are able to deliver without delays.
• Maintaining an excellent standard of quality and building according to project specifications
• Manage site foremen & site personnel.
• Perform full pre-inspection to ensure that the site meet the legislated construction regulations.
• Timeous planning of subcontractor and material order requirements
• Analyse, interpret design drawings & details, and provide technical guidance.
• Procure adequate resources both labour and materials according to the project requirement.
• Preparation of resource and material schedules for procurement.
• Develop, implement, manage, and update effective programming of the works.
• Effectively manage and monitor construction productivity in accordance to the project timeline
• Operate within approved budgets and report on potential variations.
• Manage health & safety aspects of the project
• Professionally represent Neoking Trading at external stakeholders’ meetings i.e. client, principal agents, sub-contractors, local authorities etc.
• Weekly and monthly report writing according to the company's requirements.

Requirements

• BSc/Btech in Civil Engineering, or related construction qualification
• Registration with ECSA or SACPCMP
• Valid driver’s licence
• Clear health record
• Clear criminal record
• Construction experience in renovations and built environment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in site supervision and construction management

Experience and Knowledge

• Proven managerial experience as a site agent or similar in working on residential construction sites
• Good verbal & written communication in English
• Excellent communication skills
• Independent proactive thinker and have ability to react to problems effectively and efficiently.
• Knowledgeable of construction technologies and practices
• Ability to interpret and analyse construction drawings and specifications.
• Analytical with attention to detail
• Good understanding of the Health and Safety Construction regulations
• Proficient in MS Office Suite & MS Projects
• Highly motivated, able to work independently and under pressure.
• On-site experience

Compensation

• Monthly Salary: Market related*
