A $XXXM funded startup backed by Tier‑1 VCs is revolutionizing the CAE industry with cloud‑native simulation technology. The company is scaling rapidly and building the platform that will power the next generation of engineering workflows for Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups alike.

Here you will essentially operate as a founding SRE, defining how the platform scales to handle multi‑cloud, hybrid, and on‑prem deployments. You'll build and enhance the platform's infrastructure through automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) – architecting systems that will support thousands of concurrent simulations for global customers.

The engineering team at this startup is solving some of the hardest problems in cloud infrastructure today: orchestrating thousands of GPU workloads at scale, ensuring the platform meets its Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and operates with high efficiency and availability.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure/platform engineering
• Defining SLOs/SLIs
• Systems design & architecture
• Integrating Identity and Access Management (IAM) with the infrastructure

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building performant, scalable, distributed systems
• Proficiency in Golang and/or Python
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Terraform

• Track record of mentoring engineers

Location & Compensation

• Full‑time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area
• Compensation includes base salary and significant equity
