About the role
For our client in the financial sector, we are currently looking for an Azure SRE, the ideal candidate will develop quality software working with public cloud service provider (CSP) infrastructure across different Public Cloud areas and is proficient with various Object-Oriented development tools and techniques.
The individual should be experienced with a minimum of 5 years with Python and Terraform development as well as NoSQL databases.
Good problem-solving skills and taking ownership of items independently while tracking to closure are also an absolute must.
The candidate will liaise with global teams to understand requirements, develop high quality code, and deliver projects.
The position requires attention to detail, coupled with ownership, to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications.
Primary Responsibilities: • Hands-on development and design of Python applications. • Enhance and integrate the CSP automation framework with in-house tooling (Azure initially) • Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines • Produce proof of concepts in new areas of development • Provide technical support for debugging (onprem and cloud) application failures in production systems • Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment) • Evaluate and implement emerging Devops tools • Build and integrate observability into cloud platforms and solutions • Highlight and reduce canvas with automation, architecture improvements, and process improvements
Required Skills: • Experience with Python - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and ansible) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and Jenkins) • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development • Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments • Proficient with DB technologies (preferably NoSQL) including modeling, testing and tuning • Ability to write reusable, optimized and maintainable code that is well documented and follows industry standard best practices • Implementing open-source observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or Open Telemetry)
