Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Platform (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the availability, performance, and stability of a mission-critical cloud platform in a SaaS environment
• Development and maintenance of automation solutions along the entire service lifecycle – from provisioning to decommissioning
• Building robust observability stacks (OpenTelemetry, Distributed Tracing, Log Aggregation) for early anomaly detection
• Conception and implementation of Security-by-Design principles, including Zero-Trust approaches, Secret Management, and Certificate Management
• Management and further development of Identity Governance structures (IdP, IAM, PAM) for secure access control
• Active participation in shaping the platform roadmap in close collaboration with product development and operations teams
• Continuous optimization of CI/CD processes and GitOps workflows for faster, more secure deployments

Qualifications

• Completed degree or apprenticeship in Computer Science, System Technology, or a comparable field (ETH, Uni, or HF)
• Solid experience in SRE or Platform Engineering with demonstrable project successes
• In-depth knowledge of container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern deployment patterns (Blue/Green, Canary)
• Experience with IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform) and GitLab CI/CD or comparable pipelines
• Knowledge of network architecture (DNS, Proxy, Routing, Firewall concepts) and their impact on cloud services
• Understanding of business applications in the ERP or e-commerce context as a welcome plus
• Self-reliant, solution-oriented working style with a strong sense of quality
