As a Site Reliability Engineer (f/m/d) at Nuki, you will focus on maintaining and stabilizing our production environment, improving CI/CD pipelines, analyzing traffic patterns to scale our infrastructure, and developing and maintaining system architecture documentation. You will advance our established SRE practices, ensuring the resilience, scalability, and efficiency of our applications. This will give you the chance to actively shape the future of Nuki.
Your Role • You implement and maintain robust monitoring systems, including metrics, logs, and dashboards, to provide critical insights into application performance and health. • You write scripts and software to automate repetitive tasks. • You improve CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, automated releases. • You drive code reliability by leveraging PR reviews to ensure our services are low-latency, resilient, and optimized for high-load environments. • You improve application observability (alerts, metrics, logging) to proactively identify performance bottlenecks or failures. • You collaborate with our IT Operations team to enhance our Internal Developer Platform, which, among other features, provides centralized logging, metrics, and code analysis. • You analyze traffic patterns to scale infrastructure and ensure systems can handle the anticipated load. • You scale our operational maturity by engineering automated playbooks and living architecture docs, directly reducing MTTR. • You lead incident response and conduct thorough postmortems (Major Incident Reports) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
Job Requirements • You bring at least 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). • You have proficiency in at least one programming language, like Python, Java or Go, alongside Bash scripting. • You demonstrate proficient experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker. • You are an expert in using Linux systems. • You are proficient with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Flux. • You have a solid understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS). • You have excellent written and spoken English skills, German language skills are a plus. • You possess strong analytical problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

For the advertised position, a minimum salary of € 3,954,- gross per month applies according to the collective agreement (no all-in). Willingness to significantly overpay if you have the appropriate qualifications. This position is open for applications in Graz.
