Role Details

• Title: Smalltalk Developer
• Location: Whitehouse Station, NJ (Hybrid)
• Rate: $60/hr on W2
• Mode: W2 Position

Key Skills

• Strong experience in Smalltalk programming
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and SDLC
• Good communication skills for client interaction
• Nice to have: PL/SQL, Java, GitHub, UNIX, Insurance domain knowledge

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using Smalltalk with MVC architecture
• Analyze and understand legacy Smalltalk systems, documenting functionality based on class structures
• Convert business requirements into technical designs
• Support application migration activities and validate functionality against Java implementations
• Compare Smalltalk and Java code post-migration for accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
• Provide technical guidance and ensure smooth communication with stakeholders
