About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to support the design, build and optimisation of modern cloud data platforms. This role would suit someone who enjoys working across data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, data modelling and performance tuning within Snowflake environments.

You will be joining a technical delivery team working on scalable data solutions for enterprise clients, helping them improve how data is ingested, transformed, governed and made available for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain data pipelines within Snowflake • Develop and optimise ELT/ETL processes using SQL and relevant data tooling • Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources • Build scalable data models to support analytics, BI and reporting teams • Optimise Snowflake performance, including warehouse sizing, clustering and query tuning • Support data quality, validation and reconciliation processes • Work closely with data architects, analysts, engineers and business stakeholders • Contribute to documentation, best practice and data engineering standards

Key Skills And Experience

• Strong commercial experience working with Snowflake • Excellent SQL skills • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP • Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, Informatica, Talend or similar • Experience building data pipelines and working with data warehouse environments • Understanding of data modelling concepts • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices would be beneficial • Experience with Python, PySpark or Scala would be advantageous

Ideal Candidate

You will be a hands-on data engineer with strong Snowflake knowledge and a practical understanding of how modern data platforms are built and maintained. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
