About the Company

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud-based data warehousing and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipeline development across enterprise environments.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to deliver high-performance, secure, and scalable data solutions that support business decision-making. This is a 100% onsite role in Arlington, VA requiring strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks
• Optimize data performance, query efficiency, and cost management in Snowflake environments
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Design and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting requirements
• Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are followed
• Collaborate with BI, analytics, and data science teams to deliver business insights
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline, performance, and system issues
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for data engineering standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in place of degree
• Minimum 8+ years of total IT / Data Engineering experience
• At least 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake development experience
• Strong experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and cloud data integration
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse
• Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise
• ETL/ELT pipeline development experience
• Experience with Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks)
• Cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Data performance tuning and optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in enterprise-scale data environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Python or scripting for data engineering
• Agile development environment experience
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles

Pay range and compensation package

• Rate: $60/hr (C2C)
