Pupilo
South Africa · Hybrid Internship Entry Level R3k – R4k/mo 2mo ago
About the role
Company Description
Pupilo is Africa’s leading Afrocentric gamified platform teaching coding and mathematics to children aged 7 to 18. We are driven by a mission to empower African children with critical skills for the digital economy through engaging, culturally relevant, and interactive daily lessons. Our innovative approach nurtures a new generation of digital problem-solvers equipped to thrive in the global tech ecosystem.
We need someone who studies why a video went viral, who scripts Reels in their head while doing other things, and who believes African stories deserve to be told boldly, loudly, and without apology.
Role Description
Content Creation
- Create and edit short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts — raw, real, and culturally resonant
- Draft daily Instagram Stories from our rotating content templates (student wins, parent quotes, countdowns, free trial CTAs)
- Write captions that stop the scroll — warm, energetic, never corporate
- Develop and execute content across all four pillars: Education, Inspiration, Proof, and Fun
- Capture behind-the-scenes content at coding camps, live classes, and community events.
Community & Channel Management
- Manage and schedule posts across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube
- Respond to DMs and comments within 2 hours during active posting windows
- Manage Instagram DM automations (@hellopupilo) via ManyChat
- Seed milestone share cards and student spotlight content into parent WhatsApp communities
- Monitor engagement, flag trends, and surface emerging opportunities to the founder
