Social Media & Content Coordinator
Kickback Social
About the role
Kickback Social is a boutique digital marketing agency serving business owners and marketing teams across Toronto, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, and Mississauga. I treat my clients' brands like capital assets — which means the content I produce has to be intentional, on-brand, and built to perform.
I'm looking for a part-time Social Media & Content Coordinator to join me and support client accounts day-to-day.
What you'll be doing
This is a hands-on, varied role working directly with me across multiple client accounts. You'll be involved in everything from content creation to community management — keeping my clients' social presence running consistently and on-brand. That includes:
- Creating on-brand content — short-form video editing, graphics, and captions
- Scheduling and publishing posts across platforms (primarily Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest & Youtube)
- Monitoring and responding to comments and DMs on behalf of clients
- Supporting content planning and calendar management
- Occasionally attending or covering on-location shoots independently
You're a fit if you:
- Have 2+ years creating and managing content for brands or clients (agency experience is a bonus)
- Are fluent in Reels, TikTok-style editing, and carousel graphic creation
- Know your way around CapCut, Canva, or Adobe tools
- Are comfortable managing community engagement with professionalism and brand voice consistency
- Have experience working with corporate and/or food & beverage clients
- Can hold both the strategic intent and the creative execution in your head at the same time — you understand why a piece of content exists, not just how to make it look good
- Genuinely care about client experience and take pride in the details
- Have an eye for detail that most people would miss — in your work and in how you show up
- Can hit a deadline without being chased
- Take creative direction well and ask good questions
- Are based in the GTA or available to work remotely on EST hours
- Have reliable access to a car for occasional on-location shoots across the GTA
Tools I use
- Claude AI — for copy drafting, brainstorming, and brief development
- Notion — project management, content calendars, and client documentation
- Google Workspace — Drive, Docs, and Sheets for collaboration and reporting
- Capcut – Short-form video editing
- Canva - Carousel development
- Metricool - Social media scheduling & analytics
Comfort with these tools is a plus. A willingness to learn them is a must.
The details
- 15–20 hours/week to start, with room to grow
- Contract — $25–$30/hr depending on experience
- Remote-first, with occasional local shoots possible and/or local co-working meet-ups
How to apply
If this feels like you, here's what I want to see:
- A short video (2–3 mins) — walk me through a piece of work you're proud of and why it worked
- At least one example of a carousel you've designed for a brand
- Any other work samples that show who you are as a creator

This role is an extension of my brand. I work with real businesses and real people — and I take that seriously. The person I'm looking for is kind, hardworking, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in the work they put out into the world. If that's you, I'd love to hear from you.
