Role Summary
Accumarkets is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media & Content Lead to spearhead our content strategy and amplify our brand presence across key digital platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand narrative, engaging our audience, and driving brand growth within the fast-evolving fintech landscape. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creative vision, technical proficiency in content production, and a deep understanding of social media dynamics, particularly within the financial services sector. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the vibrant City of Johannesburg.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Content Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Accumarkets' mission and vision, focusing on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Multi-Platform Content Creation: Lead the end-to-end production of engaging short-form video content (concept, shoot, edit, post) and compelling brand assets (flyers, carousels, campaign visuals) that resonate with our target audience and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Influencer & Creator Management: Identify, onboard, and manage influencer and creator campaigns to expand reach and foster authentic community engagement.
- Compelling Copywriting: Craft high-impact, compliance-safe financial content and marketing copy that educates, engages, and converts, ensuring clarity and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Podcast Development: Conceptualize, launch, and manage a flagship video podcast from inception, establishing Accumarkets as a thought leader in the trading space.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and report on content and social media performance metrics weekly, utilizing insights to continuously optimize strategies and campaigns for maximum impact.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, design, and compliance teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated campaign execution.
What You'll Bring
- Proven Content Production Skills: Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality video content from ideation to execution using personal devices, showcasing strong aesthetic judgment and technical editing skills.
- Design Proficiency: Expertise in creating visually appealing and effective branded assets, moving beyond templated designs to deliver original and impactful visuals.
- Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to present clear ideas, articulate content strategies, and communicate performance results effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Native Platform Understanding: Deep, intuitive understanding of how various social media platforms function and how to leverage their unique features for optimal engagement, rather than just theoretical knowledge.
- Financial Content Acumen: Familiarity with financial risk disclaimers and the ability to craft content that is both engaging and compliant with financial regulations.
- Technical Tool Proficiency: Comfortable with at least one design tool (e.g., Canva, Figma) and one video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut).
- Industry Experience (Plus): Prior experience in financial services or fintech is a significant advantage, though not a mandatory requirement.
