About the role

Overview

Positive Distribution LLC ("PD"), the holding company for Lock Laces® (#1 no-tie shoelace product) and an Amazon consultant business, is seeking a talented and creative individual to fill the position of Social Media & Digital Marketing Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the digital presence of Lock Laces.

This is a full-time, in-office position for a person who can work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment at our offices located in Durham, NC.

While prior work experience with the responsibilities below is preferred, the ideal candidate must have a strong willingness to learn on the job, which PD believes can overcome lack of prior experience in any area of this job.

Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement effective social media strategies for Lock Laces, engaging our audience and driving brand awareness.
  • Create and curate engaging content, including images, videos, and compelling captions for various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more.
  • Collaborate with our brand ambassadors as well as influencers / models to create content that’s aimed at growing brand awareness and driving sales.
  • Monitor social media trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to refine and optimize our online presence.

Website and Email Blast Content:

  • Collaborate with the President to produce engaging content for the Lock Laces website, ensuring it reflects the brand’s identity and resonates with the target audience.
  • Craft eye-catching email blasts that promote new products, sales, and other marketing campaigns, fostering customer loyalty and boosting conversions.

Digital Advertising:

  • Manage our Google and Meta Advertising, monitoring performance on a daily basis.
  • Produce reports on a monthly basis to discuss performance with leadership.

E-Commerce Optimization:

  • Work with the Amazon consultant business to optimize product listings with visually compelling imagery and multimedia elements.
  • Help enhance the overall shopping experience for customers, maximizing sales potential on the Amazon platform.

Events & Brand Awareness Activities:

  • Willingness to attend 1-2 local events per month and travel from time to time to trade shows, races, and more to spread brand awareness and shoot new content.
  • Communicate with potential customers at events about the product and its benefits.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Social Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
  • Comfortable with photography and videography on the phone and willingness to learn how to shoot on our professional camera.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Bonus points for any experience with e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon and Shopify.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging content.
  • A strong eye for detail, composition, and visual aesthetics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
