About the role
A fast-growing e-commerce company in Kimberley, Northern Cape requires a Social Media Manager to own the social media presence. You will develop a content calendar, create engaging posts and stories, respond to comments, build an online community, and track social media metrics. A creative flair and excellent copywriting skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyse, and report on marketing campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, providing actionable optimisation recommendations.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and industry partners to increase brand exposure and credibility.
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with business objectives and target audience insights.
- Manage the company's digital marketing channels including websites, social media platforms, email marketing, and paid digital advertising.
- Manage the marketing budget effectively, tracking expenditure and ensuring return on marketing investment is measured and maximised.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats informing marketing strategy.
- Manage brand identity and ensure consistency of messaging, visual presentation, and tone of voice across all communication materials.
Requirements
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills with the ability to create persuasive and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Creativity and a passion for storytelling with ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative approaches to marketing challenges.
- Analytical mindset with experience in interpreting marketing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
- Strong digital marketing skills including SEO, Google Ads, social media advertising, email marketing, and content management systems.
- A minimum of two to four years of marketing experience, either agency-side or client-side, with a proven track record of campaign success.
- For management roles, experience leading a team and managing external agencies, freelancers, and marketing budgets.
- A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution.
