Our client is seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Marketing Manager to lead their online presence and engagement strategies. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to craft compelling narratives and build vibrant communities from anywhere. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media campaigns across various platforms to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and achieve marketing objectives. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative social media strategies aligned with marketing goals.
- Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, image, video) for all social media channels.
- Schedule posts, monitor social media trends, and actively engage with followers and the online community.
- Build and nurture online communities, responding to comments and messages promptly and professionally.
- Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (e.g., engagement, reach, conversions).
- Identify target audiences and tailor content and campaigns to resonate with them.
- Collaborate with marketing, PR, and product teams to ensure brand consistency and integrated campaigns.
- Stay abreast of the latest social media best practices, tools, and emerging platforms.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation and performance optimization.
- Monitor online conversations and brand mentions, managing reputation and addressing issues proactively.
- Develop and execute influencer marketing strategies.
- Plan and manage social media content calendars.
- Analyze competitor social media activity and identify opportunities.
- Conduct A/B testing on content and campaigns to optimize performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on social media data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in social media marketing and management.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns that drive engagement and growth.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their respective best practices.
- Excellent content creation, copywriting, and editing skills.
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and their application to social media.
- Ability to analyze data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and community management skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing previous social media work is highly recommended.
- Familiarity with the local Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA market and its cultural nuances is an advantage.
