About

Responsibility for building and technically leading a high-performing software team to develop the central software architecture of a new microscope. In this role, you will define and implement both the technical base software and an innovative, user-oriented graphical user interface tailored to different market and customer requirements. With your deep software and GUI expertise, you will translate complex user requirements into intuitive, performant solutions and make a decisive contribution to the long-term success of the product.

What awaits you

• Building and technically leading a software team for the development of the central software architecture of a new microscope
• Definition, design, and implementation of the entire software architecture
• Development of the technical base software for the microscope system
• Conception and implementation of an innovative, user-oriented Graphical User Interface (GUI)
• Translation of complex user and market requirements into intuitive, high-performance software solutions
• Ensuring high system performance, stability, and scalability
• Technical responsibility for GUI design, usability, and user experience
• Close collaboration with hardware, system, and development teams for optimal integration
• Role as a technical mentor and central knowledge carrier in the software team
• Promotion of knowledge exchange, competence development, and sustainable team success

What you bring

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in developing complex software architectures, ideally for imaging systems with high user interaction
• Very sound knowledge of modern software development (architectures, interfaces, performance, maintainability)
• In-depth experience in GUI design, usability concepts, and user-centered design
• Experience in building and technically leading software or development teams
• Strong communication and mentoring skills
• Structured, quality-conscious, and solution-oriented approach to work
