About the role
Role Overview
We are looking for a Chief Software Architect to lead the design of advanced software systems that enable spacecraft to operate autonomously.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end architecture for autonomy systems — from how spacecraft process sensor data to how they make decisions and act in real-time.
You will work closely with engineering, hardware, and mission teams to build real-world, production-ready systems that are deployed in space — not just prototypes.

- Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- Knowledge of GPU/CUDA or high-performance computing (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and system optimization skills
- Willingness to work onsite in Sausalito, CA
- U.S. Citizenship required
Ideal Candidate
- Strong system thinker who can design complex, real-world solutions
- Hands-on leader who can guide teams and drive execution
- Passionate about building high-impact, mission-critical systems
- Interested in working on cutting-edge space and AI technologies
