Travel Requirements: In this role, occasional travel of up to 20% may be required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the software engineering delivery pipeline across various projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline requirements, implementation strategies, and scalable solutions.
• Champion technical excellence and best engineering practices like design reviews and continuous integration.
• Lead hands-on problem-solving efforts while exploring new technology platforms.
• Implement top-tier quality assurance techniques to ensure exceptional software delivery.
• Attract and develop diverse engineering talent to optimize team efficacy.
• Develop and present technology delivery proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support pre-sales and solutions resources in acquiring new business.
• Foster interdependence among business units and technical teams to facilitate project success.
• Partner closely with client engagement to enhance client relationships.
• Manage daily operations and client communications effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, including military background.
• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in an Architect role focused on designing and deploying distributed applications with an emphasis on security, scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with multiple partner cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Rackspace, OpenStack, and Oracle Cloud.
• Proven expertise in collaborating with business and technical teams to create innovative solutions that align with architectural goals and principles.
• Practical experience in web development languages such as Python, Go, C#, JavaScript (Node, Angular).
• Familiarity with back-end technologies and frameworks like Jersey and Spring.
• Proficient in relational databases, including Postgres, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Couchbase, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Experience with message queuing systems like RabbitMQ and Redis.
• Hands-on experience with N-tier architectures (MVC, JEE) and ORM.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA and DevOps practices using Gradle, Docker, and Git.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
