Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software architecture, enterprise software design, or digital engineering
• 5+ years of experience with SATCOM, space systems, ground systems, or command and control software environments
• Proven experience in developing system or software architectures using UML, SysML, DoDAF, UPDM, or UAF
• Proficiency in creating Interface Control Documents (ICDs), service decompositions, and API definitions
• Expertise in designing cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with aligning architecture with cybersecurity frameworks while working in Agile environments or SAFe
• Understanding of secure coding practices and Zero Trust design principles
• Current TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelors degree in a field related to Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the U.S. Space Force in building and enhancing mission-critical systems for global communications and decision-making superiority
• Design software architectures utilizing model-based engineering techniques
• Specify open-system interfaces and advocate for modernization strategies
• Lead architecture assessments and evaluate various technology options
• Produce digital engineering artifacts and provide recommendations to government officials
• Collaborate with software developers, cyber engineers, SATCOM operators, systems engineers, and acquisition leads to ensure architecture alignment with mission requirements
• Apply Zero Trust principles and support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities to ensure cybersecurity resilience in the architecture
