Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 14+ years of relevant experience; or a Masters degree with 12+ years; or a PhD/JD with 9+ years
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Background as a software architect or similar senior role
• Proven track record in designing and implementing software architecture for large‑scale initiatives
• Knowledge of various software development methodologies
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and enterprise application integration
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with technologies relevant to our tech stack (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Prior experience supporting the Intelligence Community
• Exceptional problem‑solving abilities to create innovative and effective solutions
• Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
• Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, collaborative team setting
• Proven skills in leading and mentoring development teams effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills on significant technical issues, often requiring coordination in a high‑energy environment

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, robust, and secure software architecture solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Lead architectural reviews and suggest enhancements to current systems and processes
• Oversee the development process to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to all teams involved throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies for software solutions
• Stay informed about the latest technological trends and integrate relevant advancements into architecture
• Prepare documentation and present architectural decisions and project updates
• Ensure alignment of Government IT Portfolio strategy with business objectives to meet critical milestones and support future vision objectives for the organization
