Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with 14+ years of relevant experience; or a Masters degree with 12+ years; or a PhD/JD with 9+ years
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Background as a software architect or similar senior role
- Proven track record in designing and implementing software architecture for large‑scale initiatives
- Knowledge of various software development methodologies
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, and enterprise application integration
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with technologies relevant to our tech stack (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Prior experience supporting the Intelligence Community
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities to create innovative and effective solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
- Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, collaborative team setting
- Proven skills in leading and mentoring development teams effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills on significant technical issues, often requiring coordination in a high‑energy environment
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, robust, and secure software architecture solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Lead architectural reviews and suggest enhancements to current systems and processes
- Oversee the development process to ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to all teams involved throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation strategies for software solutions
- Stay informed about the latest technological trends and integrate relevant advancements into architecture
- Prepare documentation and present architectural decisions and project updates
- Ensure alignment of Government IT Portfolio strategy with business objectives to meet critical milestones and support future vision objectives for the organization
