Responsibilities

• As a Software Architect, you are part of our Research & Development.
• You are responsible for the software architecture, further develop our cross-product platform software, and design general standard function modules.
• You prepare our software architecture for the future.
• To do this, you implement architectural concepts to meet standards regarding functional safety and cybersecurity.
• You support our software developers at all PÖTTINGER locations in structured software development and contribute your technical expertise to technical questions and decisions.
• You actively participate in shaping our software development process.
• Your ideas for the further development of methods (HIL, walkthroughs, static code analysis, ...), processes, and our collaboration are in demand.
• This significantly contributes to quality improvement.
• You take our ISOBUS standards (participation AEF, CCI, VDMA) to the next level.
• You continuously coordinate with your colleagues from the software group.
• Regular exchange with colleagues from the Smart Farming Team is part of your daily work.
• Together you gather ideas and solution proposals for our digital agricultural technology.
• Subsequently, you design interfaces to provide data for our digital farm management products.

Qualifications

Your PÖTTential for us:

• You have completed education at an academic level (University of Applied Sciences/University, specialization in Computer Science, Information Electronics).
• You have at least 3 years of practical programming experience in the embedded systems area and enjoy developing technical solutions.
• Programming in C and the ISOBUS or J1939 standard are familiar to you.
• Ideally, you have basic knowledge of control engineering and electronics.
• You are familiar with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 25119) and cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 21434).
• You enjoy tinkering and searching for a solution until the problem is solved.
• Your structured way of working helps you with this.
• You enjoy working in a team and, as a subject matter expert, support your colleagues with technical questions.
• At the same time, you independently develop our software further.
• Solid English skills, especially technical English, enable you to support the teams at our international locations.
