We are currently seeking a Software Delivery Manager with strong experience in banking, payments, and DebiCheck to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-impact technical solutions.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, delivery leadership, and stakeholder management, ensuring that engineering teams deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies, and event-driven architectures, as well as the ability to lead and mentor technical teams within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end software delivery lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, and release).
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional technical teams (developers, QA, DevOps, architects).
  • Drive delivery of payments and Debi Check-related solutions within banking environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure delivery aligns with architecture standards, security requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision-making support to engineering teams.
  • Ensure high-quality outputs through code reviews, testing strategies, and CI/CD practices.
  • Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report on delivery progress, risks, and metrics to senior stakeholders.

Required Experience

  • 5–8+ years' experience in software delivery, engineering management, or technical project management.
  • Proven experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on:
    • Payment's systems.
    • Debi Check (non-negotiable).
  • Experience managing technical/engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
  • Experience delivering solutions in cloud environments (AWS preferred).

Technical Skills (Essential)

  • AWS (non-negotiable)
  • Java (strong understanding of backend systems)
  • Kafka (event-driven / streaming architectures)
  • PostgreSQL (database design and performance considerations)
