Software Developer II

What you will be doing:

• Discover, analyse, validate, and document business processes
• Model current and future state workflows using BPMN and DMN
• Design, build, and deploy automation solutions using IBM BPM / BAW and Camunda (7/8)
• Integrate workflows with custom user interfaces, backend services, and REST APIs
• Analyse process outcomes and identify optimisation opportunities
• Enable AI-driven workflow optimisation and data-driven decision automation
• Publish and consume events using Kafka / Confluent
• Support functional and performance testing
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and development teams to deliver solutions
• Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned to business requirements
• Collaborate closely with business, architecture, and development teams.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in BPM and workflow automation
• Strong experience with BPMN 2.0 and DMN modelling
• Hands-on experience with IBM BPM / BAW
• Experience with Camunda 7/8 and Camunda Modeler
• Strong Java development experience (Java 11+) with Spring Boot
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON
• Experience with Kafka / Confluent event streaming
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps
• Experience with workflow deployment and system integration
• Ability to design end-to-end technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Preferred Skills:

• Banking industry experience
• Exposure to AI-driven workflow optimisation
• Understanding of operational risk and regulatory processes
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
