Overview

  • We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong front end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework
  • This role will support the design, development, and enhancement of web based applications used in secure government environments
  • Experience building user friendly interfaces, supporting application functionality, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with teams that support cybersecurity, compliance, or authorization workflows

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web based applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Build clean, responsive, and user friendly interfaces
  • Support enhancements to existing applications, portals, dashboards, and workflow tools
  • Work with technical and functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into working software
  • Troubleshoot application issues and support defect resolution
  • Assist with integrating front end components with backend services, APIs, and platform workflows
  • Support applications that align with Risk Management Framework processes, cybersecurity compliance, and authorization activities
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and engineering teams to improve automation, reporting, and user experience
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
  • Document technical designs, system updates, and development work as needed

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an information technology related field.
  • Experience developing applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Understanding of front end development concepts, responsive design, and browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework processes and cybersecurity compliance concepts
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting production systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to support secure systems, documentation, and compliance driven workflows
  • IAT Level II or willing to obtain within 6 months

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, authorization packages, controls, POA&M tracking, or assessment workflows
  • Experience with ServiceNow, GRC, IRM, CAM, or similar compliance platforms
  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, or backend integration concepts
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
