Business Need

Digital Workplace and DEX Engineering require a contractor with strong Power Platform development capabilities to support automation, workflow optimization, and enterprise application modernization.

The 2026 DEX Strategy highlights a sustained organizational emphasis on Power Platform skill development, process automation, workflow management, and forms/data collection solutions, all of which align directly to the Power Platform developer skillset.

• DEX Strategy calls out ongoing investment in Power Platform capabilities.
• AI & Power functions explicitly include process automation, workflow management, forms and data collection, which the Power Platform is purpose built to deliver.
• Digital Workplace 2026 emphasizes automation foundations, digital fluency, and solution delivery using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform technologies.

This resource is needed to accelerate the design and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions across Digital Workplace initiatives.

Required Skills

• Power Apps Development
  • Experience building Canvas and Model Driven apps supporting business processes, forms, and data capture.
  • Ability to implement solutions aligned to enterprise patterns for forms and data collection, as documented in AI & Power engineering functions.
• Power Automate (Workflow & Automation)
  • Strong experience building end to end workflows using Power Automate, including approvals, notifications, and workflow orchestration.
  • Capable of supporting organizational needs for process automation and workflow management identified in DEX Strategy materials.
• Dataverse
  • Experience designing tables, relationships, business rules, and structured data models to support robust applications.
• Copilot Studio Awareness (Baseline Requirement)
  • Not deep bot engineering — simply awareness to ensure future alignment.
  • Familiarity with creating basic custom copilots or integrating Power Platform workflows into Copilot Studio solutions.
  • Understanding of Copilot Studio as part of the broader Digital Workplace enablement.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work delivering enterprise Power Platform solutions that support digital modernization or operational efficiency.
• Participation in cross-functional programs aligned to Digital Workplace 2026 themes such as automation foundations, collaboration enhancement, or digital fluency.
• Experience contributing within engineering structures that include DEX Engineering, Enablement, Governance, and Operations.

Expected Deliverables

• Enterprise-ready Power Apps (Canvas & Model Driven).
• Automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Dataverse-backed data models and structured application components.
• Light Copilot Studio integrations where needed (e.g., connecting flows or actions).
• Documentation, hand-off materials, and alignment with DEX governance and engineering practices
