McKesson MAPS builds automatic prescription dispensing solutions for warehouse pharmacies such as central fill and mail order facilities. Senior Software Development Engineer is responsible for developing applications using .NET Core/C#, Azure Cloud Technologies, and other modern technologies. This role also maintains legacy software in C++/MFC, including bug fixing and software enhancements, and analyzes issues. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills and experience in building scalable and secure applications. Experience with automation is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software applications using .NET Core/C# and C++/MFC.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to software development processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across multiple systems and environments.
- Ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in software development.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of software solutions.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of working experience in software development required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in .NET Core/C# and C++/MFC.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Technologies (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory).
- Experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position will involve on-call rotational support over weekends/evenings.
Compensation and Benefits
We are proud to offer a competitive compensation package as part of our Total Rewards. The pay range for this position is $115,800 - $193,000 and is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy. Pay may include annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities and is determined by factors such as performance, experience, skills, equity, market evaluations, and geographical location.
