Are you ready to make a significant impact by supporting critical national security infrastructure? T‑Rex Solutions is looking for a fully cleared Software Engineer 1 to join our dynamic team in the Ft. Meade, MD area.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing‑intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real‑time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off‑the‑shelf (COTS)/Government Off‑the‑shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
Software Engineer needs to support design, development, test, deployment, and documentation of Data Dictionary Capability. Primary functions will include Java/Spring Development to maintain and enhance a user interface that allows for the creation of specifications that define attributes and valid values, a database to store the specifications, and a Rest service that will allow for programmatic access to the specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to computer engineering or computer science disciplines and 3 years of Software Engineering experience. An additional 4 years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree for a total of 7 years.
  • Active TS/SCI w/ FSP

Desired Skills

  • Experience developing software and systems in Java (J2EE)
  • Experience with the following:

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range: $130,000 – $160,000 (general guideline; final offer considers scope, experience, education, key skills, internal equity, market and business considerations)
  • PTO available to use immediately upon joining (prorated based on start date)
