Software Engineer, Applications (m/f/d)

About

In this role you will advance audio technologies from research to prototype development and productization within the Immersive Audio Team. You’ll support innovation across Automotive, Lifestyle, and Professional lines by building and evaluating DSP, ML, and test methodologies for embedded audio platforms. You’ll collaborate across research, software, and commercialization to scale solutions from concept to market. This role offers hands-on development, benchmarking, and transfer to product teams in a dynamic, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and integrate Audio DSP algorithms on embedded platforms (Linux, Android, Tizen)
• Develop Linux-based audio applications on embedded devices
• Create software components for integration by external teams
• Promote adoption of Audio Systems technologies across internal units
• Make trade-offs to scale technologies from prototype to mass production
• Benchmark and evaluate technologies for market readiness
• Ensure transfer to commercialization teams with technical readiness
• Produce technical reports, white papers, and patent applications

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, acoustics, etc.
• 6 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with embedded software development in C/C++
• Practical experience with Agentic AI integration into code development
• Real-time Audio DSP algorithm implementation experience
• Hands-on experience with CI systems and Agile development
• Fluency in multi-threaded and interrupt-driven real-time programming
• Experience with audio development SDKs
• Business fluent in English
