Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our innovative technology team in Kimberley. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance web applications and contributing to the technical direction of our core products. Responsibilities

• Optimize application performance and scalability to handle growing user traffic and complex data processing requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate user requirements into robust technical specifications and functional features.
• Proactively troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems to ensure maximum uptime, security, and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in accordance with established industry standards and internal best practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high code quality and consistency.

Requirements

• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git, and a solid understanding of branching strategies and workflows.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and proficient in writing optimized SQL queries.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks (e.g., Laravel, React, Vue.js) and a good understanding of front-end and back-end integration.

Qualifications

Relevant coding bootcamp qualification with a strong project portfolio.
