Software Engineer Automation (m/w/d)

Role

For our client in the field of industrial control and automation technology, we are looking for a qualified specialist with in-depth knowledge of Siemens S7 and TIA Portal. You will work on the implementation of demanding automation projects for machines and systems in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or degree in electrical engineering, automation, or mechatronics
• In-depth experience in PLC programming with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal
• Knowledge of industrial networks and bus systems (Profinet, Profibus)
• Independent, structured way of working and strong problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel for occasional commissioning at the customer's site
• Good German language skills, English is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Development and programming of PLC controls with Siemens S7 and TIA Portal
• Creation and adaptation of HMI user interfaces
• Planning, implementation, and documentation of automation solutions
• Commissioning of systems in-house and at the customer's site
• Troubleshooting, optimization, and expansion of existing programs
• Support in the electrotechnical project planning and design of control components
• Technical coordination with internal departments and external partners
