About Us
We are currently filling a role as a C++ Engineer (m/f/d) at a leading European service provider and software manufacturer for retail companies.
In this position, you will further develop innovative commercial software modules for industry solutions and actively shape the modernization of the software architecture in an agile team.
We are looking for someone with in-depth knowledge of C++ programming, experience with relational databases, and very good communication skills in German and English.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ongoing optimization and further development of future-oriented commercial software modules for specific industry solutions.
- Proactive participation in the conception and implementation of a modern software architecture.
- Responsibility for the analysis, design, and realization of new features and extended functionalities.
- Ensuring high software quality through regular code reviews and comprehensive unit tests.
- Cooperation and exchange within a dynamic, agile development team.
- Creation of detailed software documentation and technical specifications.
WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A successfully completed university degree in computer science (business informatics) or an adequate technical training in the IT sector.
- Practically proven and in-depth experience in development with C++.
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems, preferably Oracle or SQL.
- A solid basic understanding of business processes (e.g., in CRM, financing, or inventory management) and the interest in mapping them technically.
- Excellent logical-analytical thinking skills and an independent, results-oriented way of working.
- Very good German and good English skills for effective communication within the team.
- Passion for agile development methods and the pursuit of continuous code quality through reviews and unit tests.
REMOTE WORK POLICY
In this role, you can work hybrid remotely (2-3 days remote) from the office in Frankfurt.
If you move or travel for this role, your relocation or travel costs will of course be covered.
