Then become part of our global team as a Software Engineer (w/m/d) Medical Image Registration & Image Processing.
Choose the best place for your work – within the scope of this position, it is possible to work remotely (within Germany) for up to an average of 60% of your respective working hours, in coordination with your manager.
Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible under certain conditions and in selected countries for up to 30 days a year.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You develop, optimize, and integrate medical image registration algorithms for interventional 2D/3D applications. Depending on the requirements, this also includes multimodal, deformable, and real-time registration methods.
- You conceptualize, develop, and implement solutions for medical image processing and analysis, as well as AI-based methods for the advancement of medical imaging and interventional therapies.
- You ensure efficient implementation and performance optimization of these algorithms and models on GPU and CPU architectures.
- You proactively contribute to software design and system architecture and help ensure product quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- You work closely with the research, product management, innovation, and user experience departments in an agile, interdisciplinary, and international team.

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have a Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing. A PhD is desirable.
- You have several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in the areas of medical image processing, image registration, computer graphics, and AI-based image analysis.
- You possess sound knowledge in the development of software for real-time systems and in creating high-quality product code in C++.
- You have experience or knowledge in developing parallel algorithms for GPUs.
- Ideally, you have already worked in a regulated healthcare environment or in the field of medical image processing.
Your profile and skills:
- You are characterized by a high willingness to learn and the motivation to continuously expand your knowledge in AI and image processing and to keep an eye on current research trends.
- As a team player, you feel comfortable in an agile and international working environment. You speak English very well and can communicate with your team colleagues in German.
- A structured, methodical, and results-oriented approach, good time management, and a high degree of personal responsibility are a matter of course for you.
- Furthermore, you convince with strong communication skills and can convey your point of view and technical results clearly, understandably, and vividly.
