Software Engineer (Founding Team / 0–3 Years Experience)

The Role

We’re looking for a sharp, ambitious Software Engineer to help build and scale a fast-growing digital platform from the ground up. This is an opportunity to join early, take real ownership, and work closely with a small, high-calibre team shipping products at speed.

You’ll be involved in designing, building, and maintaining core systems across the platform, with a strong focus on backend engineering and modern product development. The current stack includes PostgreSQL, TypeScript, SwiftUI, and Vercel.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll deploy your own code, contribute to product decisions, and help shape the technical direction of the business as it grows.

About You

You’re naturally curious and genuinely enjoy building things. You’re probably not looking for a “safe” corporate environment — you want to work with smart people, move quickly, and be challenged.

You may have:

• Worked at an early-stage startup or completed internships in startup environments
• Built side projects, apps, or products independently
• Participated in hackathons (bonus points if you’ve won one)
• A few years of commercial engineering experience already under your belt
• A strong desire to learn fast and take ownership early in your career

You’ll do well here if you’re comfortable in a flat, high-performance environment where everyone contributes beyond their job title.

We care more about intelligence, initiative, and execution than polished corporate experience.

Skills & Technologies

We’re interested in engineers with strong fundamentals and experience in some of the following:

• Strong programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
• Backend web development experience
• Exposure to technologies such as:
  • TypeScript
  • PostgreSQL
  • SwiftUI
  • Vercel

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but exceptional builders from non-traditional backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Location

New York City (Financial District)

Full-time, onsite position.

Compensation

$150,000 – $200,000 base salary

Plus bonus and potential equity participation.
