Job Title: Lead Architect Workforce Management (m/w/d)

Company: E.ON

Mission: Realization, implementation, and operation of the future Workforce Management platform.

We are defining a new standard and an IT Business Platform for the detailed planning and control of activities in the dynamic environment of electricity and gas network construction. This platform will be used by several thousand international internal users in the energy network sector for consistent task processing and management, as well as for dispatching, executing, and documenting construction and maintenance orders.

Responsibilities

  • Architecture: Maintain an overview of the complex Workforce Management architecture, identify risks and dependencies, and make informed decisions to ensure a stable and future-proof system landscape.
  • Design: Define clear framework conditions for architecture and design, ensuring they serve as guidance for development and implementation. Act as a central link between business and IT.
  • Innovation & Standardization: Actively promote innovations by leveraging new developments in Azure, SAP BTP, and mobile clients to create technical and business value.
  • Teamwork & Communication: Work closely with subject matter experts and developers from the beginning in mixed BizDevOps teams. As Lead Architect, provide technical leadership for the architecture team, always aiming to find optimal solutions together and promote the use of agile methods.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions meet the highest security, data protection, and compliance standards, protecting our platform and customer data.

Requirements

  • Qualification: Completed studies in (Business) Informatics or a comparable relevant qualification in the IT sector.
  • Architecture and Technology Expertise: Proven several years of experience in planning, developing, and scaling complex IT landscapes with varying application depths and overall architectural responsibility. Broad technological conceptual know-how in the cloud environment (Azure, SAP BTP, SaaS integration) and in application integration (interfaces, contracts). Knowledge in mobile development (Android, iOS) is desirable.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Several years of experience in the technical leadership of internal architecture teams, as well as in managing external service providers and integrating externally provided components.
  • Communication: Fluent German and very good English skills (minimum B2 level). Enjoy working with international teams. Ability to prepare and present content in a target-group-oriented manner, both for management and development teams.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems. Capable of seeing the big picture as well as delving into details to develop innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Ein abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich (Wirtschafts-)Informatik oder eine vergleichbare einschlägige Qualifikation im IT-Bereich.
  • Nachgewiesene mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Planung, Entwicklung und Skalierung komplexer IT Landschaften mit unterschiedlichen Applikationstiefen sowie einer übergeordneten Architekturverantwortung.
  • Breites technologisch konzeptionelles Know-how im Cloud Umfeld (Azure, SAP BTP, SaaS Integration) und in der Anwendungsintegration (Schnittstellen, Kontrakte).
  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der fachlichen Führung interner Architektur-Teams sowie in der Steuerung externer Dienstleister und der Integration extern bereitgestellter Komponenten.
  • Du verfügst über verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse (mind. B2-Niveau) und arbeitest gern mit internationalen Teams zusammen.
  • Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und die Fähigkeit, komplexe Probleme zu lösen.

  • Du behältst den Überblick über die komplexe Workforce Management Architektur, erkennst Risiken und Abhängigkeiten und triffst fundierte Entscheidungen, um eine stabile und zukunftssichere Systemlandschaft sicherzustellen.
  • Du definierst klare Rahmenbedingungen für Architektur und Design und sorgst dafür, dass sie als Orientierung für Entwicklung und Implementierung dienen.
  • Du förderst aktiv Innovationen, indem du Neuerungen der Azure, SAP BTP und mobiler Clients nutzt, um technische und fachliche Mehrwerte zu schaffen.
  • In gemischten BizDevOps-Teams arbeitest du von Beginn an eng mit Fachexpert:innen und Entwickler:innen zusammen.
  • Als Lead-Architect:in übernimmst du die fachliche Führung des Architekturteams.
  • Du sorgst dafür, dass alle Lösungen höchsten Sicherheits-, Datenschutz- und Compliance-Standards entsprechen und unsere Plattform sowie Kundendaten geschützt sind.
