About the role
Role Overview: You will be working as a Front-End UI Developer at Bristol Myers Squibb, where you will be responsible for building intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces for global Patient Safety and Risk Minimization applications. Your role will involve translating complex safety workflows into simple, usable experiences using ReactJS and modern UI engineering practices. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Solution Architects, QA/Validation, and other Operations across Hyderabad and New Jersey. Emphasis will be on hands-on delivery and craftsmanship with moderate guidance from senior engineers/developers and tech leads while adhering to regulated SDLC.
Key Responsibilities: - Implement responsive, accessible web experiences using ReactJS, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS. - Build reusable UI components, client-side routing, and data-driven views integrating with REST APIs and microservices. - Develop and maintain design-system-aligned components, ensuring consistency across applications. - Leverage Figma artifacts to convert specs into pixel-accurate implementations, proposing UX improvements when appropriate. - Collaborate with UX Center of Excellence team, Product Managers, and UX designers to iterate rapidly on interactive prototypes and validate flows with stakeholders. - Contribute to design reviews, ensure UI solutions meet product acceptance criteria in regulated contexts. - Write unit/integration tests, support end-to-end test automation while upholding code quality. - Optimize performance and reliability, following BMS SDLC, documentation, and validation practices. - Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives, coordinating across Product, Architecture, Engineering, QA/Validation, and Operations.
Qualifications & Experience: - 3 to 5+ years of professional experience building production UIs. - Proficiency in ReactJS with TypeScript/JavaScript, Figma, HTML5/CSS, responsive layout, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. - Experience in testing with Jest/React Testing Library, bundling/build tooling, package management, and Agile methodologies. - Exposure to BPM-enabled UIs, micro-frontends, and AI-assisted development tools is a plus. - Strong communication skills, a user-centric mindset, and a commitment to quality work. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
