About the role

Job Summary

Insight Global is looking to bring on a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to support quality assurance and automation efforts across complex integration and software development projects for a large security client. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Python, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable systems. The ideal candidate is a strong developer first, with a testing mindset, experienced in building automation frameworks and working across integrated systems and APIs. This position is 100% remote working in EST time zone.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with strong focus on automation
  • Proven experience as an SDET or Automation Engineer
  • Strong programming skills in Python (primary language for test automation)
  • Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing ones
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
  • API testing (Postman, REST clients, automated API frameworks)
  • Integration and end-to-end testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
