We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Software Engineer in Test (SET) who is passionate about automation and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will combine programming expertise with testing knowledge to build robust automation solutions that ensure high-quality product releases.

Role Summary

As a Software Engineer in Test (SET), you will design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for enterprise-grade applications. You will work closely with Software Developers and QA engineers within Agile scrum teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality solutions in a cost-effective and timely manner.

This role focuses on building automation frameworks, expanding regression coverage, and developing testing utilities that improve overall engineering quality. You will “write software that tests software.”

Key Responsibilities

• Test Design & Automation • • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive automation test suites. • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression coverage. • Expand and enhance existing automation frameworks. • Automate newly integrated features and validate end-to-end workflows. • Technical Testing & Validation • • Analyze complex software systems and design functional and performance testing strategies. • Develop automated test scripts for UI, API, integration, and backend validation. • Write custom testing utilities and tools to support QA and development teams. • Execute manual testing when required to validate edge cases and new features. • Analyze test results, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions. • Agile & Collaboration • • Work closely with developers and QA engineers in Agile/Scrum teams. • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. • Provide accurate estimations for testing and automation tasks. • Track and manage defects using JIRA or similar SDLC tools. • Communicate testing progress, risks, and results clearly to stakeholders. • Cloud & Multi-Tier Testing • • Test applications deployed in multi-tier and cloud-based environments. • Validate integrations across APIs, databases, and distributed services. • Support CI/CD-driven automation and continuous testing practices.

Required Qualifications

• • 3–5 years of experience in QA and/or software development. • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python. • Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites. • Solid understanding of: • Object-Oriented Design principles • Data structures • Version control systems (Git-based workflows) • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Experience with JIRA or other SDLC management tools. • Strong analytical and debugging skills. • Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. • Experience testing cloud-native applications (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Exposure to API testing tools and performance testing frameworks. • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines. • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms or analytics systems.
