About the role
Your central role
- Design, develop, and implement scalable software components and systems using C#, .NET, and related technologies.
- Translate business and technical requirements into well-structured, maintainable, and testable code, and modernize and optimize existing solutions for document capture and processing.
- Contribute to the development of our Generative AI (GenAI) solutions and their associated integration layers (e.g., APIs, data pipelines), and ensure software quality.
- Collaborate closely with requirements engineers, test engineers, and solution architects in an agile product team, and mentor and guide less experienced developers.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improving performance, security, and maintainability across systems, and support the continuous improvement of engineering standards, methods, and tools.
Your Profile
- University degree in computer science, software development, or a comparable field, and at least 5 years of experience in software development and design in complex IT environments.
- Proficient programming skills in C#, .NET, and experience with databases (e.g., SQL Server) and web technologies.
- Experience or interest in input management solutions (e.g., Smart Fix, Paradatec AIDA/Prokey, Open Text Capture) is an advantage.
- Experience with agile methods and experience working in agile product teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality, secure, and efficient software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English (at least B2 level). (German language skills at B1 level are an advantage, otherwise willingness to acquire sufficient knowledge within a reasonable timeframe).
- Occasional travel to external workshops or other team locations should be possible.
