What you'll do
As a Software Engineer Intern (AI), you will work closely with our engineering team in France at Issy-Les-Moulineaux. Your primary focus will be supporting the AI Tooling Optimization project. You will assist in research, development, testing, and documentation related to implementing AI-driven improvements to our tooling. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI applications in software engineering and contribute to a real-world project with significant impact. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and learn about the software development lifecycle in a dynamic Agile environment.
This position is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director, Engineering.
This is an internship role for 4 months of duration.
Responsibility
- Assist in researching AI techniques and their application to software development tooling
- Use AI‑powered developer tools (such as code copilots and internal LLM‑based assistants) to implement features and improvements in Identify services and UIs, always taking ownership of the final result.
- Apply AI tools to accelerate tasks like test generation, refactoring, documentation and code reviews, while ensuring changes are correct, secure and maintainable.
- Support the development and testing of AI-powered features for existing tools
- Contribute to the creation of datasets and evaluation metrics for AI models
- Participate in team meetings and code reviews
- Learn and apply best practices for software development and AI implementation
- Work with Product Management, Designer, UX Research and other developers to understand and convert requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or equivalent
- Fluency in English
- Experience with software development concepts
- Experience using AI coding assistants or LLM tools (for example, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar) to write, refactor or document code
Preferred
- Interest in AI and its applications in software engineering
- Demonstrated ability to verify AI’s work: writing and running tests, debugging issues, checking for security/privacy concerns and reasoning about whether a suggestion is appropriate
- Curiosity and adaptability to learn new tools and workflows quickly, and to improve them based on what you observe in practice
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset; comfortable asking questions, sharing trade‑offs and incorporating feedback
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java or C#, and familiarity with building web applications or services (front‑end frameworks like React/Vue/Angular, or back‑end services and RESTful APIs)
- Great oral/written communication skills
- Interest in learning about cloud services and distributed systems
- Passion for learning new software technologies and AI techniques and for sharing knowledge
