Our partner is a family-run company headquartered in Switzerland and a market leader for automated passenger and goods protection on busy railways in Europe. Railway automation and highly available radio systems complement the product range and market segments.

Role

In this role, you will design a secure and scalable cloud platform on which modern applications can be reliably operated. You will be responsible for the conception, implementation, and further development of cloud security architectures as well as the automation of central security and compliance controls. You will analyze security risks, derive suitable technical and organizational measures, and ensure their effective implementation in the platform. You will work closely with development, operations, and governance to anchor Security-by-Design and enable secure deployments. You will also evaluate new cloud and security technologies, contribute best practices, and thus continuously contribute to increasing the security level.

Responsibilities

• You will actively shape a new business area for IoT-based cloud solutions.
• In this role, you will develop and operate a secure cloud platform together with the team.
• You will consistently anchor Security-by-Design throughout the entire lifecycle of the solutions.
• As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will realize scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations.
• You will connect IoT devices, OT systems, and IT platforms securely and efficiently.
• In this role, you will further develop data-based functions and use cases together with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• You have completed a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• You have experience in cloud and IoT platform architectures as well as in integrating APIs between IT systems and IoT devices.
• You are proficient in software development, ideally with Java, Spring, and modern API technologies.
• You have in-depth practical experience in the complete security lifecycle as well as in cloud and OT cybersecurity.
• You are familiar with secure development, system hardening, and vulnerability, patch, and incident management.
• You think systemically, understand data models, data flows, and analytics, and enjoy hands-on work.
• You speak good German.
