About

The Department of IT Development supports chairs and administration of the Faculty of Law in planning and implementing IT projects. It provides individually tailored tools, defines processes for smooth operations, and monitors compliance with technical standards. It operates an implementation of existing and new solutions aligned with the state of the art and is responsible for the continuous further development of teaching supported by electronic means and digitized administrative processes.

Responsibilities

• Development of applications to support teaching and administrative processes
• Integration of language models into software solutions
• Conception and implementation of AI-supported functions (e.g., automations, assistance systems, knowledge access)
• Analysis of requirements in collaboration with specialist departments and implementation into functioning solutions
• Support of projects from conception to productive operation
• Focus on productive applications, not research

Qualifications

• Completed education in computer science or comparable practical experience
• Several years of experience in software development (backend or full-stack)
• Practical experience in the use of LLMs / AI in software projects
• Experience in implementing productive applications (not just prototypes)
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working
• Ability to critically assess and purposefully use new technologies
• Enjoyment of collaboration with different stakeholders
