Software Engineer I

At Kryptauri, we build software that matters. We’re looking for an early‑career Software Engineer I to join a fast‑paced, highly collaborative engineering team supporting a modern microservices ecosystem with multiple user interfaces. This role offers direct mission impact, real customer interaction, and the opportunity to help shape system design from day one.

What You’ll Do

• Build, enhance, and sustain Java‑based microservice applications
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leadership on architecture and roadmap decisions
• Tackle complex engineering challenges with a problem‑solving mindset
• Work directly with mission partners and end users to troubleshoot issues and propose new capabilities
• Support testing, deployment, and production operations in a live environment

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and ~3 years of experience
• Hands‑on experience designing, debugging, and developing in Java
• Background building RESTful web services
• Familiarity with Spring Boot
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar database technologies
• Exposure to automated testing practices

Nice to Have

• Full‑stack experience, including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js)
• Experience with Kafka
• Comfort working in Linux environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated build tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
