Responsibilities
- Independent creation, updating, and adaptation of requirements, architecture, and interface documentation in DOORS according to project requirements
- Taking responsibility for the development of the software architecture
- Creation of software designs and development of embedded software and drivers
- Integration of Matlab Simulink output into software (e.g., controllers)
- Integration on hardware and execution of error analyses during integration
- Planning and coordination of software activities, including time and resource management
- Structuring, evaluation, and commenting on client software requirements during the bidding phase
- Technical support of the client during the specification phase, including clarification of technical questions and evidence
- Creation of software sub-contractor specifications with strict adherence to traceability
- Management and coordination of subcontractors in the area of software engineering, including formal engineering change processes
Requirements
- Completed university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field with a strong technical focus
- At least 5 years of professional experience in programming embedded software
- Sound knowledge of C
- Experience with real-time operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS) and hard real-time systems
- Expertise in hardware-related programming of microcontrollers
- Deep understanding of power electronics and electrical machines
- Structured, detail-oriented, and independent way of working
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to promote efficient collaboration
- Proficient in MS Office
- Very good German language skills (native or business fluent)
- Good English language skills (for documentation and technical coordination)
- Desirable: Knowledge in control engineering, field-oriented control, and PWM control of electric motors
