Software Engineer (m/f/d) with focus: Cloud, Data, Security or AI

Your Role

In this role, you will work directly with our clients on technical solutions – from the initial idea through architecture to the finished implementation. Together with them, you will identify requirements, evaluate technical options, create prototypes, and deliver functioning software that creates real added value. If desired, you can focus on Cloud, Data, AI, or Security – without limiting yourself professionally. You will use modern engineering practices and AI tools to achieve better results faster.

Your Tasks

• Design, implement, and test modern software solutions (e.g., APIs, microservices, cloud and data components)
• Analyze requirements and contribute to technical architecture decisions
• Use modern, AI-supported development tools for coding, testing, prototyping, and documentation
• Contribute to the design and implementation of software architectures that specifically enable and optimally support AI-driven, agent-based software development, focusing on security, scalability, and quality
• Develop and operate applications using modern toolchains (e.g., CI/CD, containers, Infrastructure as Code)
• Collaborate with clients in workshops, meetings, and technical reviews
• Implement requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable system solutions

Optional Specialization:

• Cloud Engineering: Development and operation of scalable cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure), automation, and platform operations
• Data Engineering: Building data pipelines, data models, and analytics services
• AI Engineering: Integration of Machine Learning and LLM-based solutions, and development of AI-supported applications
• Security Engineering: Implementation of security requirements (e.g., Secure Coding, IAM, Cloud Security, DevSecOps)

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or comparable practical experience
• Good knowledge and experience in applying software engineering methods
• Openness to using AI-supported development tools
• Experience in software development with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, .NET, or Python)
• Knowledge of object-oriented software development and basic architectural principles
• Experience with database systems (e.g., SQL-based systems or NoSQL)
• Initial experience with modern development processes and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD, container technologies)
• Interest in cloud technologies, data processing, AI, or IT security
• Analytical thinking and structured working methods
• Very good German and English skills, and enjoyment of teamwork and customer interaction
• Willingness to travel occasionally
