About

As a Software Engineer (m/w/d) Tools & Automation, you will take on a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of an advanced software framework for simulations and validation processes. You will work in an innovative environment that integrates modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, distributed systems, and model-based control paradigms (MCP).

Responsibilities

• Development, implementation, and testing of high-performance C++ software (C++17+)
• Maintenance of cross-platform applications for Unix and Windows
• Build and workflow management with CMake
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for requirements definition and integration
• Further development of simulation tools and frameworks
• Implementation of gRPC-based communication in distributed systems
• Contribution to software architecture and application of proven design principles
• Evaluation and integration of new technologies (e.g., AI/ML, MCP)
• Creation of maintainable, documented code including code reviews

Requirements

Our ideal profile for this position includes strong technical expertise as well as practical experience:

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable technical degree program
• Experience in simulation development (e.g., physics engines, real-time systems, numerical modeling)
• Profound knowledge in multithreading, network programming, and low-latency system design
• Confident use of CMake for creating and managing C++ projects
• Experience in software development under Unix/Linux and Windows
• Fluent German and English language skills
