What You Will Get To Do

• Analyze, design, program, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud‑based, or Internet‑related computer programs.
• Develop applications in our private cloud that provide outsourcing capabilities to brokerages for clearing mutual fund subaccounts.
• Work on large systems developed in multiple technologies.
• Write code using current programming languages and technologies, leveraging BDD (Behavior‑Driven Development) / TDD (Test‑Driven Development) methodologies, cloud‑native approaches.
• Perform testing and debugging of applications.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Adhere to Software Engineering and Information Security Controls, aligning with enterprise architectural strategies.
• Close existing software defects and ensure maintenance of architectural diagrams.

What You Will Bring

• Ability to design, build, and maintain modern web apps for internal and external customers.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices to integrate with internal and external client systems.
• Work with a product owner within an agile team to define, develop, and estimate user stories and epics.
• Collaborate with BA and QA to create and implement automated BDD tests.
• Ensure ongoing scalability, security, and maintainability of products.
• Computer Science/Engineering‑related Bachelor’s degree; or Master’s degree; or 3 years of equivalent work‑related experience.
• Experience developing and maintaining SaaS applications.
• Proficiency with a subset of: JavaScript, CSS, Java, JUnit, JPA, Spring, Python, GoLang, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, KeyCloak, Serverless Computing, Cloud‑native.
• Web/RESTful Services Development.
• Microservice Development.
• JavaScript, jQuery, ExtJS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, Jasmine (or other JavaScript unit‑testing frameworks).
• SQL and relational databases.
• Working in an agile environment using Scrum.
• Passion for continuous learning and ability to learn quickly and apply new skills.
• Flexibility, proactive attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with Kafka and NoSQL solutions is a plus.
