Role

(Senior) Software Engineer, AI (all genders)

We, the Data & AI Innovation Team of the Competence Center Data & AI, are looking for you as a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our GenAI Core Team. We use Generative AI to realize state-of-the-art solutions that improve decision-making processes, increase operational efficiency, and unlock new business opportunities. At the same time, we systematically drive the AI innovation process at AXA Switzerland, foster a culture of continuous experimentation, and ensure the company-wide introduction of effective AI solutions.

With great passion, we develop the foundations for GenAI at AXA. Our current focus is on an international, group-wide project. In this project, we are developing and operating an Agentic AI Platform, which forms the basis for future Agentic AI Use Cases.

Your Contribution

• Become part of our Data & AI Innovation Team and, together with other engineers, take responsibility for the further development of our Agentic AI Platform for company-wide use.
• Develop, optimize, and operate implemented components and integrations.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the quality and consistency of our entire codebase.
• Share your knowledge with other team members and stakeholders and proactively contribute to the solution design of our applications.
• Provide technical consulting and deliver meaningful documentation.
• Work closely with stakeholders & users to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementations.

Your Skills and Talents

• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in software development.
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• You have a solid understanding of software development principles, clean code, and software architecture.
• You are experienced in developing APIs and with cloud technologies, ideally GCP.
• You are enthusiastic about new technical developments and want to continuously develop in a dynamic environment.
• You have experience with (Gen-)AI and the implementation of AI-based applications, especially with their deployment and operation.
• You have excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• You possess strong cooperation and communication skills to work effectively across global teams.
• You have the ability to deal with uncertainty and adapt to changing requirements with a proactive attitude.
