The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As a Software Engineer within DTCC’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technology organization, you will help design, build, and scale intelligent, cloud‑native software solutions that support critical audit, risk, and compliance initiatives across the firm’s three lines of defense.

In this role, you will develop Python‑based backend services, APIs, and data solutions while helping move AI/ML models and data pipelines from experimentation into real‑world production use. You will partner closely with audit, risk, and compliance stakeholders to translate business requirements into reliable, AI‑enabled solutions, contributing directly to initiatives such as Project Lighthouse and other enterprise AI programs.

Your Primary Responsibilities

• Help design, develop, test, and support production software • Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Python • Support the integration of AI/ML models and data pipelines into enterprise applications • Design and implement integrations with internal systems and third‑ party tools • Write unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure high‑ quality, reliable software • Collaborate within Agile teams alongside product owners, architects, DevOps, and infrastructure partners • Assist in troubleshooting issues across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) • Experience building or supporting backend services, APIs, or data pipelines in an enterprise environment preferred • Exposure to production systems in large‑ scale or regulated environments is a plus

Talent Needed for Success

• 4 years of hands‑ on software development experience, primarily using Python • Foundational experience or strong interest in AI/ML concepts, models, or data pipelines • Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern SDLC practices • Strong problem‑ solving, debugging, and analytical skills • Clear communication, collaboration skills, and a strong sense of ownership

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift) • Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑ learn • Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments • Exposure to cloud‑ native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging managed services and containers

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
